Although most of the schools Hibakusha Stories visits are public schools, the first school Hibakusha Stories ever visited in October, 2008 was Poly Prep, a private school in Brooklyn. In May, 2013 Hibakusha Stories visited Grace Church School in Greenwich Village. The sixty ninth graders who were present represented the first class who will graduate from the newly formed high school.
