In April and May of 2014 and 2015 Hibakusha Stories conducted programs in high schools, trainings for area high school teachers and workshops for representatives of NGOs and member states at UN Headquarters in New York. In addition we produced WITH LOVE to Hiroshima and Nagasaki: A Concert for Disarmament. Our guest hibakusha and Hibakusha Stories team worked tirelessly, so we made certain there was time to enjoy New York. Special events included a tour of the Highline Park with views of the Williams and Baker Warehouse where the Manhattan Project stored plutonium, a sail in New York Harbor, dinner at the National Arts Club and Café Loup and a concert by Masaaki Tanokura, Tomoko Sawada & their daughter at Dupuy’s Landing.
