From April 28 to May 8, Youth Arts New York collaborated with Peace Boat in presenting 22 programs to 3,000 students in approximately 35 New York City high schools and 2 middle schools in Westchester. County. New to us from Peace boat were hibakusha Nobuko Sugino, Hiroshima, and Michio Hakariya, Nagasaki. They were joined by Reiko Yamada, Hiroshima, and Shigeko Sasamori, Hiroshima. Clifton Truman Daniel and Kristen Iversen, author of Full Body Burden: Growing Up in the Shadows of Rocky Flats shared their perspectives.
